High Tea

It's high tea time! Let's all go to our gracious hostess Laura's site at http://decortoadore.blogspot.com/ and join the party!
I set the tea on the little buffet table in the formal living room.
I used my silver plated teapot with lions and served Cheryl's cookies and some chocolate almond clusters. Have you ever tried Cheryl's cookies? They are yummy. I found out about them when I was visiting my daughter in Florida the other week. Her boss felt bad because they were having a special event at work that she could not leave work on time and he knew I was there visiting. So, he gave her a box of Cheryl cookies. She let me try some and I was hooked. I went on line right away and ordered a box to be delivered for Valentine's day for hubby and then set up an automatic delivery to the house 6 times a year, lol. We had a box delivered on Valentine's day and then the first auto delivery came the day after. Good thing they are wrapped individually so they stay fresh longer. I used the 24 karat gold coated rose that I got on Valentine's Day and placed it in a Viennese vase.

Love the lions on the pot.

The crystal candelabra is Villeroy & Boch that I bought from their outlet store in Destin.

The ruffly glass vase with a pewter hummingbird base is from Ebay.

Tha napkins are from an antique store in Seattle. I bought them when I was antiquiing with Vanna of http://www.delusionsofgrandeurblog.com/ . Have you seen her blog? If you haven't, you are missing out cause she has so many lovely antiques that she shares with us. So better run over there right away and check it out.

The butler has your tea cups. He will pour the tea for you:-)

Thank you so much for hosting this fun event, Laura. I was going to create a tea table in the gazebo and then I realized high tea might need to be more formal so I moved to the living room and changed the tea elements to a more formal one. I hope I was able to live up to your event name.
Thanks to all who visited!

Oh my goodness I am overcome with all of the loveliness! The vase is just spectacular.

But that teapot truly is gorgeous!

I found the image of the china just by googling "Royal Wedding China". There are several sites that are selling it. You MUST buy yourself at least one place setting. It is perfect for you.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you SO very much for linking up.

Hi Christine...

My friend, your tea table is exquisite! Ohhh...you know how I love that fabulous silver teapot...you're right, the lions are awesome! Is this the same silver tea service that you put on top of your new frenchy cabinet? I'm thinking that you have more than one silver tea service but don't remember for sure. Christine, I love, love, LOVE your new crystal candelabra! It's fabulous!!! I have been searching for one for quite some time. I finally settled on two very pretty crystal candelabras that match my pedestal cake plate. I'll have to do a post about them. Well my friend, everything is sooo very beautiful! I love that you used your Valentine rose from John...it looks so pretty in the Viennese vase! By the way...I need that pretty tassel! You know that it would be perfect in my tea rose bedroom! Hehe! It really is pretty! Thank you for sharing all of your pretties with us today for the High Tea party! So glad that you stopped by for a visit today as well!

Warmest wishes,
Chari

You certainly have set a royal table! Everything is oppulent! I am totally enthralled by your Lion Tea Post. It is one of the most beautiful silver pieces I have ever seen! Mix that with lace edged napkins and a gold dipped rose and this tea time table is over-the-top beautiful!
