Tablescape on Florida's Home Pool Deck

After a 3 week stay, it's time feed my hubby, lol, so I am going home this weekend. I thought I should do a tablescape in the pool area here before I leave. I missed the tablescape memes last week to entertain company who drove all the way from Natchez to visit. We had a great time touring the city and showing them around.

I wanted a long table for here but instead of buying 1 rectangular table, I chose to buy 2 square tables with 4 chairs each. For larger groups, I intend to put the 2 tables together to create a rectangular table good for 8 settings. But for now, I will only use a square one.

I started with the natural fiber plate chargers I bought from World Market for $3 each. Unfortunately, they only had 4 left of the pear green color or is it chartreuse?.

I used melamine plates which I use here often because I have little grandchildren eating here at home when I am here. I bought the plates from Homegoods. I like the postal pattern which I have been using a lot in the decor of this house. I also like the butterflies which make it perfect for outdoor use.

Burlap bird napkin rings were found at HG also, I think.

Bird  and flower tealight holders were brought from our MS home.

Isn't the color of this orchid pretty? I bought 3 plants from a vendor selling by the roadside. I am hoping my daughter does not kill them after I leave, lol. I bought 3 with various colors and will leave them under the screen so that they get watered when it rains. I also instructed my daughter to water them if it does not rain for 2 weeks.

I wasn't able to bring some stemware here so I bought these from the dollar store. Guess how much!:-)

I sent this set of flatware from the MS home. The pattern is very simple but it is a place settings for 16 and very heavy. I sent them  using the flat rate box to save on postage. I don't have many choices of napkins here but I will bring more upon my return.

I took a picture of the chargers in the morning to show you their true color.

Lastly, I would like to show you my grandbaby Reese's picture while playing hide and seek with me.
Thank you so much for your visit. I appreciate all the hostesses so much too.

Christine - you are amazing! I cannot believe you were able to fit in a tablescape with how busy you have been! The table looks lovely - great plate and stemware finds. I like the color of the chargers - perfect for Florida!

I had a bunch to say until I saw the adorable little Reese peek at the end. Then, I was so busy grinning that I forgot what I was going to say about the table.

I love the color of the chargers, and I love the way you can manage to make melamine look so lovely!

Wonderful tables, Christine. I want some of those chargers! I like the texture of the weave.

I also love your pool area and your tables there. You are going to really enjoy that, I know.

And I love seeing your granddaughter peeping at you. LOL

So glad you have this nice retreat so you can enjoy your Florida family.

XO,

Sheila

Love your table, Christine! The plates are beautiful! I like how you have two square tables by the pool! It would be so easy to put them together for one big table! Your grandbaby is precious!

Christine, I had to change my email a while back, and I no longer have it hooked up to my blog. Someone was trying to hack me.

I will try and email you from my other address which I thought you had. Maybe not. LOL.

XO,

Sheila

Love your new tablescape at your Flo. home and I see you have "little helpers" here..it's no wonder you have the time..lol! I love those fun dishes and the place mats are awesome!..sorry you could only find 4, but maybe you'll find them in another store, I bet! I also think your idea of 2 square tables is a very practical one. Big hugs,

It's a beautiful tablescape and perfect for your pool deck. Mark was in San Francisco and came upon a Polish Pottery store. I'm thinking it is one that you go to. He bought me S&P shakers :)

The baby is so cute peeking out from behind that chair!!! What a nice Grandmother you are to play hide and seek with her!!!

The dishes are BEAUTIFUL, Christine! I love those! They have a kind of a French/old world look to them. Gorgeous!!! I think the butterfly color is so pretty, but then there's that splash of coral or orange...just great! The dollar store glasses fit into the setting just fine, too!

Really terrific table & chair sets! They will come in quite handy for you all summer!

Look at that sweet baby!

Christine I love the blue and orange plates! Very pretty pool side table. Great idea buying two square tables, instead of one long table.

I really love how you did the pair of tables...it looks great out there. I think that sometimes the plastic plates are really fun to work with, the patterns are always so pretty and even without kids, they often blow away outside.

So, do you hate to leave or are you ready for some time at home?

Is there anything you don't seem to fit into your busy schedule! I am glad that you found the time to set this lovely table, Christine. Pretty butterfly plates...but ♥♥♥ the limey chargers. I have never tried a orchid, have always been afraid I would kill something so beautiful.

I can tell that you are already very comfortable in your wonderful new home. You're going to have a blast bringing some of your bevy of dinnerware from Mississippi to Florida. The butterfly plates are charming, especially with the aqua blue of the pool in the background. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Cherry Kay
