Main Table for Thanksgiving Dinner in Natchez, 2014

I got to spend Thanksgiving at home in Natchez. I had to set 2 tables because all guests would not fit in one. The adults sat here and I had a table in front of the fireplace in the kitchen for the kids. I will share that table next week because I do not want to bore you with picture overload.
We were 9 adults, actually 11 but 2 of them came late because they had to attend a family dinner so they just joined us for dessert. I placed 2 chairs on one end of the table to accommodate all since my table normally only holds 8.

I chose to use Polish pottery instead of the usual traditional orange and green Thanksgiving plates. They are my "Go to" dishes when I do not have too much time to prepare because they are stored in the kitchen cabinets and are easily accessible.
However, I added rust colored napkins to have the feel for Fall. I mixed and matched the Polish pottery plates and some of them have some rustic colored design in the center, but mostly blue, green and white.

I have this big wooden bowl that I filled with squash and pumpkins for my centerpiece. I added a few antlers and straw twigs to make it look somewhat rustic.

I used amber iris goblets and Polish pottery wine glasses.

Here is a close up of the plates showing woodsy designs, which I think are perfect for Fall.
Polish pottery and Spode S & P shakers and pumpkin and asparagus napkin rings from Williams Sonoma.
Artichoke and pinecones for place card holders, also from Williams Sonoma.
Thanks again for all your visits. I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving celebration with your families and you are enjoying your preparations for Christmas now. I also am very thankful to all the hostesses of the following memes.

Wow my friend, you had lots of guests for Tksgiving. A trip came out so I didn't have the family for Tks.
Your table is gorgeous, the Polish pottery is lovely and it fits in all festivities, as I think blue and white is fort everything. The napkin rings are adorable and the tablecloth is fabulous, like a schintz...love it all, as usual!
Have a great week.

How you have combined color and texture is just wonderful and so is the cloth. You've given me new ideas for using the pottery.

Your dining room couldn't be more beautiful! I love all of the rich colors in the room and on the table. I was inspired by your posts on your cruise and so we ended up on the Allure of the Seas a couple of weeks ago. Thanks, you were the one that got me there. I can't remember if you went on the Allure or the Oasis, but it was AMAZING!!!

This table, and the whole room, really, is just stunning. Such an interesting combination of lovely items assembled in a way that I would have never considered. I'm not sure just what I like best, but that flatware is calling my name.

Lovely, lovely, lovely table, Christine, and a nice sized crowd. I like the idea of putting 2 on each end of the table. I think that will be my go to move in the dining room from here on out when we have more than 8!
