Tea Party with my Li'l Cuties in the Front Yard

I wanted to use my new cup I received as a gift for mother's day.

It came with a little cup for my little tea party goer.

The kids are on vacation so we invited the boys too, and for their cups, I took out the fun animal mugs. They love them!

I made some little egg salad sandwiches because we had this at noon time so the kids can have something healthy.
Nathan, what happened to your nose and forehead?

Of course, Reese always holds her cup so daintily.
She even tried to get her brothers do the same thing but I told her that it is ok for the boys not to do it that way, lol.

I just planted this rose topiary a week ago. It had no flowers on it and I am so happy to see it blooming now. The little potted flowering plant usually sits on the table but had to move it away temporarily cause all my  tea pieces and goodies wouldn't fit on the table. Reese gave it to me on Mother's Day. The boys gave me one each too which are on the back porch. They all painted their own pots and I love them!
Barefooted kids, lol. You can tell this was very informal.
Reese loves tea parties. She is always so excited when we have one.

Good thing John came home from the pool supply store before we got done, so I got to have my picture taken with my little cutie pies.

Before I finish my blog entry, let me show you my 2 mango trees. They have given us so much fruits already and the produce are all so sweet.

I love having you all come by. Thank you.
Thanks to all the party hostesses!

Americana Tablescape for Dinner Tonight

It seems like eons ago since I tablescaped. DH and I just came from a 2 week trip in the Canary Islands, Gibraltar and Rome and I am just getting over my jetlag.

Anyway, since Memorial Day is coming soon, I was in the mood to create an Americana tablescape. These dinner set finally made it here after the last trailer of our belongings from Natchez were delivered. My sister, Fe gave them to me many years ago and after using them once, I stored them in the attic and had forgotten about them until I saw them again with the last delivery.

It's nice and cool outside so I thought we would eat on the back deck. I cooked Cajun shrimp, baked asparagus, rice and made some fruit salad.

The plates look so patriotic that I did not want to cover them with salad plates or bowls.  I set the bowls for the fruit salad on the buffet instead.

 Cajun butterfly shrimp
Iced tea in a Mexican glass pitcher is ready to be served.
I bought the stars and stripes glasses on clearance from the Christmas Tree Shops on line and bought them. I just realized now how they perfectly matched the plates.

 Bike napkin rings

I did not serve hot tea but this Polish pottery set would have been my choice again if I did.

Thanks to all for stopping by and thanks to the hostesses too for the fun parties I am linking with.

Bunnies Hopped on My Polish Pottery

Happy Easter everyone!

I thought I would do something different. Instead of creating an Easter table using pastel colored dinnerware, I would use my floral Polish pottery. Well, flowers are good for spring, right?

This was just an ordinary dinner for us so the tablescape was very simple.
I used an ikebana for a centerpiece and stuck a few orange flowers and a bunny topiary on it.
I also added wooden Easter eggs with a bunny on top, plus tea light candles and a tapered one.
I love this Polish pottery dinner plate pattern. I have to search what the pattern name is.

We just had Caesar salad, white rice and ground pork omelet, just like I said, a simple dinner.

And I baked some turtle cookies for my little bunnykin grandkids.

For our tea, I used Polish pottery in Mosquito or Nature pattern, one of my favorite patterns. A cow creamer for my cream server. Isn't he a cutie?

And there you go!
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter holiday with your families.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks to all the hostesses of these wonderful memes.
