Blue Shell Sevres With Cherubs and Plant Trellises

Monday means we have to look for anything blue so we can join Sally's Blue Monday party and find anything we had transformed so we can join Susan's Metamorphosis Monday. Let's all go visit their posts at http://smilingsally.blogspot.com/ and http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/and check out what exciting things they have to show us and then check out each participant's post. It will be fun for sure.
For today, I would like to show you a pair of Sevres figures, not really sure what to call them. Anyway, they have a handpainted shell shaped top with a bronze ormolu baby sitting on top and 2 bronze baby mermaids holding them up.
Check out the details!
Thanks Sally, for taking the time to host this event. I know you are very busy with the moving.

And now, for Met Mon!
I have been in the mood for buying items that I can use to decorate the deck after the pool is done. I saw these last week while browsing through a yard and garden store. They were really rusty.
But I bought them anyway. I spray painted them black and this is how they turned out. Don't mind the mess in the yard please. It's all the pool supplies and I can't really clean or throw anything away cause I do not know what the pool men need.
Dirt all over, Ugh! But I think the trellises turned out well. Don't you?
This is how it looks now with a mandevalia inside the bigger one. I still do not have anything in the smaller one. but they will eventually move to the pool deck.

Thanks for coming over!

Christine your Sevres collection is simply stunning. Every piece you have is so beautiful and the detail is just amazing. I also really like the trellis and the plants. They will be so pretty on the patio by the pool. I know you're getting excited to have the pool and all the landscaping done. I can't wait to see it. Hugs, Marty

Mornin' Girlfriend...

Just left you a note on your Sunday Favorites post.

Girl, these Sevres pieces are exquisite!!! I love the little baby mermaids...and you're right, the painting and detailing on these pieces is fabulous! They would make a beautiful tablescape...wouldn't they? It appears that the blue is the same color of blue on all of your Meissen collection? Soooo pretty!!!

Love those pretty trellis'...they're going to look great out by the pool!!! How is all of that coming along? Are they getting near completion? I know your just "itchin" to get it finished and all decorated!!! Hehe!!!

Well Darlin'...this week is going to be pretty hectic for me. Getting ready for vacation in Texas...I don't know how much I will be able to post! I'll talk with you later Darlin'!

Love ya,
Chari

What a great idea... I should have taken some before pictures of the bed frame I recycled last summer for my daughter. It was white and she thought it to baby-ish but I painted it a shiny black and it looked very "hip" all of a sudden.

Have a great week!
