Go over at Susan's blog, http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/ to see who else is participating for Outdoor Wednesday. It's always fun to see plants and flowers and other outdoor pictures and today is our chance to see them.
Last Saturday, I wanted to show John a gazebo that I saw and liked so I dragged him to St. Francisville, LA. The garden shop was close to the Myrtles so we decided to eat lunch there. Oh, by the way, we bought the gazebo, an iron swing and 2 concrete carved pedestals. I'll show them to you after they are delivered and in place.
If you watch the TV show, A Haunting, you probably have seen this antebellum house featured to be one of the most haunted houses in Louisiana. We took AJ and her mom here to tour the house 2 years ago when they came for a visit. AJ was so attentive to the tour guide and she remembered everything he said, so this place always puts a smile on our faces because it always makes us remember AJ's comments after the tour. Haunted or not, you can enjoy the outdoor garden. Just look at those crape myrtles! wish mine would bloom like them.

I love your photographs. It's funny how different folks react to things. I think the moss hanging from the trees is romantic, rather than spooky. At any rate, your photos are beautiful. Thank you for sharing them with us. Have a wonderful day.
I have seen it on tv! What a neat place I really want to visit. I love antebellum plantations and mansions!
All the best,
Allison

I love the old houses and plantations in Louisiana. My hope is to drive one car down on our next trip and leave it in New Orleans so we can get around more freely there. This home is definitely on my list now. Lovely, thanks for sharing.
What a gorgeous place to have lunch. The gardens are beautiful, and those are the prettiest crepe myrtles I've ever seen. What a fun trip, can't wait to see what you brought back. Hugs, Kathy
I remember seeing a how about The Myrtles! Neat looking place!
Can't wait to see your new garden things!

Hi Christine! Yes, I have seen that house on TV! So nice to get another look at it when they aren't trying to play it up as scary, because it really is beautiuful! The gardens are just gorgeous! Was the food good? One of these days, I'm just going to pack up my car and head for a tour of Cajun country! Enjoy your week!...hugs...Debbie
Such a gorgeous house in a lovely setting. It certainly does not LOOK haunted.
I know the show of which you speak, but never watch it.

I just found your blog through Sares. I also live in the South. (Mississippi) I have always wanted to go and visit "The Myrtles" but haven't been able to yet. It looks so beautiful and peaceful to me.
What a beautiful place! Too bad it is haunted! Yikes! I can't wait to see all your new fun things. Maybe a tablescape in the gazebo!
Love the crepe myrtles!
I once saved one from the K-Mart throwaway pile!
I brought it home, planted it and it grew taller than my 2 story house and bloomed beautifully!
This is beautiful Christine! I love your tours! I wish I could grow a crepe myrtles - I managed to kill one & haven't tried again...
I can't wait to see all your new treasures - bet they're awesome!
