for Tablescape Thursday.
and Artie for Vignette Friday at http://niagaranovice.blogspot.com/
You should all visit these gracious host and hostesses.
I bought the wooden coca cola crate from one of the vendors in the store. I also bought the bunny planter from another vendor.
A few months ago, we ate at a Japanese restaurant in Baton Rouge and they served us diet coke in little coke bottles. After we were done, I asked what they did with the empty bottles afterwards and the waiter said they just throw them away. I asked if I could have our empty bottles and he gave them to me. I thought I could use them for a vase on a vintage tablescape and I did just that. I just cut up some fresh red flowers from my plant and there they are!
Myvintage tin bowl and lidded soup bowls came from a Pottery Barn in Florida. They reminded me of the plates used by our maids in the Philippines. I have had the white plate chargers with blue rims. They are ceramic. or ironstone.
I bought 2 chicken wire plate chargers from Pottery Barn in Dallas. I wish now that I bought at least 4.
When I bought this crate, I was planning to use it to plant herbs in the spring but I thought it made a ncie centerpiece so I'll just keep it on one of the outdoor tables.
The herbs in terracotta pots are lemon thyme and they smell so good.
I lit the candles when it got dark. Isn't that a pretty glow?
I bought my Coca cola glasses from the dollar store a while back.
I hope you enjoyed this outdoor tablescape. I thank you all for coming and I have enjoyed having you all.

That Diet Coke in the cloche is adorable. Love the whole thing. What a great way to use a Coke crate.
Christine,
This is a very neat and original table. I love the coke glasses with the handles. I haven't see those before. Your coke crate is great too. Love the cloche and the lighting with the garden elements is wonderful. Thanks for your sweet comment too. :)

Oh Christine, the Coca Cola tablescape really tugged at my heart strings!!! David was the Vice Pres of Finance at Coke in San Antonio for many years.... Coke is close to my heart. Your table looks WONDERFUL.....I love this so much!

I just do not know where to begin...
This table is so unique!! It's different from what I usually see here and yet just as lovely as your usual tables.
I love those chicken wire chargers and that wire cloche.
And the whole coca cola theme is just fantastic!! Love the coke bottle glasses and all the little coke accents on the table.
As always, I leave this blog nodding my head in appreciation!!
Christine, this is great! I love the covered pots and chicken wire chargers. You know I am in the Pottery Barn outlet all the time, and I have never seen those! I am going to try and make some!
That was a lot of fun!

So pretty. I love how you used the coke crate for a candle holder.
Your crate is just wonderful! I have some but they don't look as good as yours. We get Coke in the bottles here - the old fashioned kind with cane sugar instead of corn syrup. So good! You have inspired me to set a table around it. Love the dishes you used.
So very cool Christine...I love the crate. I really love the touch of cardinals though, very unexpected but cute!
Oh, such fun! Love the Coke and love the wire chargers.

Hi Christine...
What an awesome table, my friend! I have always liked the old vintage coca-cola stuff...nostalgia at it's best I think! Shoot, I remember a time when you could only get coke in a bottle...a glass bottle! Hehe! I love the coke crate...it really does make a neat centerpiece for your vintage table! I like how you added candles to a few of the slots. Love your place settings too. Those are the neatest little lidded soup tureens! And of course, I couldn't help but notice those darling little cardinals...sooo sweet! Such a fun and festive table, my friend! Thank you for sharing it with us today!
Love ya,
Chari

The coke in the cloche made me laugh! I really like your little covered tin dishes, so cute. I've never seen anything like those chicken wire chargers...perfect for this table. I would think you could make more fairly easily if you wanted to.
How is your mother feeling?
Christine, your delightful personality just shine through in this darling tablescape! I eyed those metal pots and bowls at Pottery Barn, too -- so adorable! The Coca-Cola elements add such charm!
Coca Cola and the South just always goes hand in hand, don't they! Love your vintage tablescape...fun, charming, well done. I really like the Pottery Barn Enamelware. I use mine quite a bit, but I'm wishing that I had bought the covered bowls. They are wonderful! Thank you for sharing your charming design and for stopping by my post. Come visit any time, please. TOO cool!!!! I love it that you asked the waiter for the Coke bottles! Why not? Heck, you paid for them! I love the way you incorporated them into the centerpiece! Your metal crocks are fantabulous, too!!!! Very cool table indeed!
Love the little Coke bottles! They remind me of when I was a kid. My great aunt had a machine with them at her music store. BTW, it's 80 degrees here today!!!
I have a Coca Cola box and you have just given me a new idea! Love how you put the candles in it. Think I might just be a copy cat. Too cute!
This is a sweet table setting!!! Happy VTT!
What a fun table, Christine...the little covered pots are adorable. Love the metal cloche.
Christine: Coca Cola has been my favorite beverage for more years that I care to admit. Hence, I loved your post today! You have featured one of my great loves in life: COKE! :) Great job!

What a GREAT idea! I love the theme. The glasses and crate are just great. I also like the lidded bowls.
Christine, thanks for leaving me sweet comments. I thought I was already following you but if not, I'm about to. Thanks for following me!
OMW! My hubby is going into urology too! And you're in the state of MS. That's one of the places he's putting in for residency interview. I see you're one smart lady yourself. A lot of science minded people are not generally as creative and artsy as you. You're blessed! I'm more into the art while hubby is into science. I can't understand his stuff and he can't understand mine. lol
Beautiful and so clever Christine...
Very cute table Christine!
What a fun table Christine. I love to eat out on the terrace, and this setting looks ready for alfresco dining. ~ Sarah
So cozy and inviting! Love the way everything looks in candlelight! Very creative Christine:)
Such a sweet table I specially love the covered soup tins. Your room is so lovely. Don't you just love candlelight?

This is such a fun tablescape Christine. I love the little individual soup tins. The coke case makes such a fun centerpiece, and what a conversation piece the Diet Coke under a cloche is! (I got a glimpse of John watching t.v. inside!) laurie
