Family Reunion While Sailing and Pink Favorites

I am still so far behind in everything and I cannot believe Christmas is next week already. Anyway, busy or not, I have to post for Sightseeing Saturday today.

I am also linking with Beverly for Pink Saturday at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/

and Laurie's "A Few of My Favorite Things" at http://bargainhuntingwithlaurie.blogspot.com/

And this fine china set is my favorite for this week. I just got them from Ebay and they are a complete servings for 12, all in excellent condition. The pattern is "Dogwood" and they are Tirschenreuth Bavarian dishes. They are still sitting on our kitchen counter while I figure out where to store them. So far, I have not stored any dishes in bedrooms yet but it seems like I might have to start soon, lol.

And for my Pink contribution are 2 pictures taken during our reunion on the cruise. Below are 2 cousins, AJ and Bhrielle (my niece's daughter) and they just posted for us before the laser tag. Yep, they are both wearing pink.

The 2 of them are posing with another one of their cousins (Alyssa), another niece's daughter. The wall is pink from the light's reflection.

This ship looks huge but it's actually one of the smallest cruise ship that we ever sailed in. We were such a big group that everywhere we went, we saw somebody we know.

My children and their spouses and my grandchildren. Oh, my mom too! So, this photo actually shows 4 generations, my mom, me, my children and then grandchildren.

One reason I enjoy going on a cruise, aside from the value you get for your money, is that it is very relaxing.
They have a big water slide but I never go to it. The kids really enjoy it though.

This was taken as we were just sailing out of Miami Port.

Lunch and dinner

If you have been on a cruise, you know that we never run out of food there. Here is the Mongolian barbecue bar.

Below, you will see me and John, my brother and his wife, my sister and her husband, my nephew and his wife and on the bottom right are relatives of my brother's wife.

The kids had a lot of fun singing (and I had so much fun and pride listening) during karaoke sessions. My son sang "Traveling Man" and announced that he was singing it for his mom (he knows how much I like Rick Nelson and in fact, they grew up with his music) and then added that "maybe she will give him some gambling money", lol. He also sang a duet with his wife, Becky and the crowd went crazy. My daughter Rochelle also sang and so did my nephews.

I uploaded 2 videos below of my son and his wife Becky singing a duet and my daughter, Rochelle singing on the second one.

Some of the younger kids' activities. They sure had a great time playing with cousins.

Ma and me on the top photo and my 2 sisters are in the bottom photo with me. And I just had to show you one of the towels that the stewards create and leave in the cabin for us every night.
Here is my mom with all her children. My mom is 92, my eldest sister is 73 and my youngest brother is 57.

Jed and Becky singing "Picture".

Rochelle singing "Strawberry Wine"

Wonderful family post! All the photos you shared were great, and I especially love the photo collage of the 4 generations, the one of the couples, the kid's collage. And the group photo of your mom with her children. What a blessing to have spent that time together. And also great video clips of your son and his wife and the one of your daughter singing.

Blessings & Aloha!
Thank you again for stopping by and please do let me know your husband's reaction to the drawing and if your husband notices that his name was used in the art :o) When I post it on my business facebook in an album, I would love if you would leave a comment there, such as how you decided to choose that image, who, when, etc... & IF you would like, please also be sure to leave a separate comment for an extra entry...such as, for following my blog...and any other of the possible ways that are mentioned.

Christine~This cruise looks like so much fun! How wonderful that your mom is able to share all of this with you! I am so glad she is fully recovered. Love the dishes and I don't see one thing wrong with storing them in bedrooms---of course, you may have to keep notes to remind you where you put them :) Thanks for the good wishes for our upcoming weddings--2011 will be busy! Merry Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Beautifulness runs in your family~ Your mother is precious and I didn't realize she was that age - she does not look her age! I can see by all the smiles on the faces that everyone had a lovely time! Now I'm going back and listen to your children sing.

Christine I really want to go on one of those cruises with you! It looks like such a blast! And I know I've said it before but your whole family all look so darn young! And your kids sounded pretty good too! I love to sing to myself but I don't think I could sing like that in front of strangers. That's pretty brave. *winks* Vanna
