Front Porch Tea

I was playing WORD on my i phone with a friend this morning when I thought about having a tea party for mama and me. My friend who I was playing with text me about something. I asked her if she wanted to join us and she did!

We had tea on the front porch. See the ants carrying the watermelon? It's a tealight candle holder. I ordered it from AJ for her school's fund raising. I know it is daytime but the candle is citronella and I did not want the real bugs around. The fake ones, however, joined us here and they are very much welcomed.

I used my Fitz and Floyd "Bellacara" tea set. Do you like my bunny shaped napkin? I have instructions on how to fold this. Leave me a comment if you are interested. I think it will look more of a bunny if the napkin is not printed.

We had mango/passion fruit tea.

Our grass is so long and the guy who usually cuts it did not show up last week. That guy who occasionally does some work for us cleaning the gutters, etc., stopped by and asked if I needed something done, I asked him to mow and trim the bushes. He has no equipment and we only have a push mower but he was able to use it. John bought it initially to get some exercise, used it maybe for 10 minutes and it just sat in the garage ever since, lol.

Bumble bee napkin rings. I really like using these for an outdoor setting. I love the whimsical look.

There's ma and me.

and us with my friend, Debjani.

For something that was a spur of the moment tea time, we had a lot of fun just chatting and relaxing on the front porch while sipping tea and eating cookies.

Cheryl's egg buttercream cookies, brownies, cashew butter cookies, almond drops and I don't know what the other one is called.

The tray has birds on it.

So pretty! And I really love how you LOVE your Mom so much! She is just so cute! Know what else I love? Your goodies that you served and that tea service. I just ordered a little box of Cheryl's cookies and they ARE good, and that birdie tea set is just so colorful and adorable. You are just the best hostess! Good thing I don't live near you, I'd be over all the time and you wouldn't be able to get rid of me. :)
Best,
Gloria

What a perfect tea you had. I so much wanted to order the Cheryl's cookies but I knew I would eat them all myself so I didn't buy any. I love when they have those awesome deals. I love how you take time to relax and enjoy tea!
