Blueberry Picking and Pink Mammy's Cupboard

Our last batch of company, my youngest daughter Tina and her family, just left and I am feeling kinda down but I will try to get back into the swing of things. Blogging always help and I have missed you all! We have been so busy having so much fun, mostly swimming, eating and just hanging out.

Last Wednesday, we ate out to lunch at Mammy's Cupboard. t is one of Tina's favorite restaurants here. They have the best mile high desserts and blueberry lemonade. I think Tina gained 10 lbs. this week, lol, but she has a very good reason to.

I am linking with Beverly's Pink Saturday at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/

Right after lunch, we went blueberry picking at a nearby farm. It was only 2.4 miles from Mammy's Cupboard so it was really convenient.

The blueberry farm is big. This is only one side of it.

N felt right at home.....too cute!

He started picking right away but he was more attracted to the pink unriped ones, lol!

Into the bucket they went!

B really enjoyed picking too.

I even really enjoyed it a lot.

Aren't they pretty?

John joined us after seeing patients. We had the whole row to ourselves.

After N tried the ripe ones, he couldn't stop eating. They were so good and so sweet.

Tina almost filled the bucket. The blueberries were so cheap too, only $1 per pound.

I only filled about 1/3 of the bucket. I think it's because most of them went into my mouth instead, lol!

Do you think he is tired? LOL! I think he is ready to go na-night. It got hot towards the end. Good thing they had water available for the pickers.

Thanks to our hostesses for these fun memes and thank you all for stopping by. I'll try to catch up on your blogs but it might take me a while. I still have lots of cleaning up to do here.

Hi, Christine,
What yummy looking blueberries, and the family looks like it was a lot of fun. I eat blueberries everyday in my cereal, but I don't know if I want to pick them myself. :)

Everyone looks like they had a great time.
Even if the pink ones look prettier to pick I am sure the blue ones tasted better.

Mile high desserts sound like my kind of thing! Hopefully, some were made with blueberries. I can't wait til August when wild Maine blues will be ready to pick.
Thanks for your visit.

Sounds like a wonderful time was had by all. N is adorable. Hope he didn't get a tummy ache. I know you enjoyed having them.
We go to southern Illinois in a couple of weeks, I hope their blueberries are not gone by then. We often go "pickin" when we are there.
Hope you are having a great weekend! Ginger

Oh that cute little one, he is tired and sleepy ^_^ I remember last year when hubby and I went blueberry picking, I didn't picked anything but I ate a lot! Maybe a bucket full lol! Hubby picked a bucket full, I divide it in a quarter zip lock and freeze it. From time to time hubby used it for blueberry pancake or smoothies. One time I was at the grocery and happened to pass at the frozen fruits I looked at the price, geez, it's too expensive!! That's when I vow myself to do a lot of fruit picking this year and freeze it. ^_^ Happy Monday!

Now that looks like a FUN time! :) I came by via Susan's party, but I missed it myself. I took pics of my pergola all dressed up this afternoon (with the 2 hour lull in the rain), and I REALLY hope you'll stop by and take a peak, and let me know what you think of the progress! :)
