You saw this at Kim's party last week. Well, it has not stopped transforming so I will show it again.

We delivered it to the store on Thursday, got there at 12:30 PM and I hurriedly created a tablescape cause I had to be home at 1 PM to open the door for the people delivering ma's walker. It was a whirlwind tablescape, lol.

But I made it! What do you think? I hope I did not mess up too much. I just used pretty much what I already had at the store but I brought the Queen's Myott turkey plates.

The men delivering the walker got to my door before us but they just got there, so everything worked out well.




I think the table is perfect in my booth.

Changed it again on Friday. I added a turkey tureen on the centerpiece.

Now, I just want to show you my grandkids and how they dressed up for Halloween. It looks like AJ did not dress up too much. Just some halloween socks and a headband and she was ready to take her mom's friend's little boy around their neighborhood.

What about my 2 grandsons? Do you think they are true brothers? I don't think Halloween is either one's favorite holiday, LOL!

You have seen this picture of Brendan. It was from last year or maybe 2 years ago, but it still makes me laugh. The picture below him is his little brother, taken this year. I just wanna pick him up and hug him to make him feel better. Poor baby! LOL! "Mama, please don't leave me here with this scary scarecrow."

They did enjoy dressing up though. Doesn't he have the most delightful smile?

What a change in mood, huh! Do you think the blue robot is a good contribution for Blue Monday? Tina said the baby did not take his hood off. It stayed on for hours.

Ginn's Reunion Resort in Kissimmee

I cannot believe it's weekend again. The week sure has gone so fast but then again, everyday seems to go fast for me.

Saturday means we will go sightseeing.

For my pink contribution, I want to show you a salt cellar. I have sold so many at the store but I kept this because it is one of my favorites. It had a tiny pink spoon but when the grandkids were visiting a few weeks ago, one of them played with them (I have 3 tiny spoons) while I was at the hospital in Jackson watching my mom and we can't find them. Isn't the salt cellar cute? It's a Nippon.

For my favorites today, first let me show you what Maria of Personalized Sketches and Sentiments made for me, actually for John. Shhhh! Don't tell but I am giving it to him as one of my Christmas presents and right now, it is kept in the garage. If you are familiar with her artwork, the Sevres egg urn is drawn with his name "John" all over. Didn't she do a fabulous job copying John's favorite egg? The details are amazing! I also have a French art nouveau inkwell with a lamp attached. I won it on Ebay with the intention of selling it at the store but I could not part with it, lol. So, it is sitting on my desk with my favorite pictures of kids and grandkids.

For sightseeing, I want to share with you how we celebrated my mom's 90th birthday 2 years ago. I might have blogged a little about this but I want to show you more. It was held at Ginn's Reunion Resort in Kissimmee, FL. I highly recommend the place for any family reunion, big or small. I was unable to take a lot of pictures of the place but they had lots of amenities to be enjoyed like tennis courts, swimming pools, golf courses and my favorite was the water park. They have condos and houses that you can can rent. We rented 2 condos with 3 bedrooms each and a big house with 5 bedrooms and we had enough room for all of us. All of my mom's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren attented from 5 states: California, Illinois, Missouri, MS and Fl.

I stayed in a 3 bedroom condo with my children and grandkids and this one below was my bedroom.

The ones in green belong to me, my 2 daughters, son, daughter in law and son in law.

Below are the great grandkids. 4 of mom's great grandkids are already in College. One already graduated but is taking her masters now.

The great grandkids swam a lot. They had a ball playing around and they had a drawing contest. They had to draw my mom, lol, and they all won!

We all had a lot of fun in the water park, especially wading in the lazy river.

And I even had the courage to go down the slide. Yep, that's my foot, lol!

Our next reunion will be on a cruise and it is coming soon. I can hardly wait. My mom is always very happy whenever we are all together.

First Turkey Tablescape

This is not my official Thanksgiving table but I wanted to play. Besides I have these Queen's Turkey plates and since I am not using them for my big Thanksgiving tablescape, I thought I would use them now. I also wanted to try something different.

You still have a lot of time to get something ready because her party starts on the 7th and will go on almost the whole month.

Since Thanksgiving is all about family and I am most thankful for my family, I thought I would emphasize that on my centerpiece. So, I borrowed the 2 figurines from the master bedroom to use. I think they are family oriented.

I also wanted to have some kind of a garden setting so I added my lemon thyme herb plant and a pot of pansies.

Most of our trees are still green but we sure have enough leaves falling on the deck.

My pansies are in a pot that Vicky of Paint or Dig gave me when we had the Mississippi Southern Belles get together here last summer. She gave me a set of 3 in different sizes and I love them all. Thanks again, Vicky! Do you see the other one just outside the window on the right side holding another plant?

I can't remember where I bought the napkin rings, possibly from the other vendors in the store. I've been shopping a lot there lately.

BTW, if you are wondering how my booth is doing, I am happy to say that out of everybody there, I got top sales this month and I haven't even had much time to shop to restock, since my mom's been in and out of the hospital. I was #2 in top sales last month and it was my first month. So, it's been really fun.

A Small Table for My Store Tablescapes

I am sorry I have not visited most of you. My mom almost collapsed last Saturday and was taken back to the hospital and was just released today. Her BP went down to 80/30. So, my time was spent mostly in the hospital because she did not want me to leave her. I only left her when she was napping and when she finally slept at night and then I was back again the next morning. I am happy to say that she is ok now and they just had to stop all her medicine except for her high cholesterol. The doctor said she did not need any of the others. so they were all discontinued and she is doing so much better now.

If you visited my post last Saturday, you would have seen this table. I found it in an antique shop in Woodville. I like the shape and the size. I thought it would be perfect for the store for me to do tablescapes. It has rollers too so I can move it around. The seller said it came from an antebellum house there so I like the history too. This is how it looked like when I bought it.

John would not let me paint it. He never lets me paint anything wood because he likes to see the wood grain. So I sanded it and stained it very lightly. The "After" picture is below.
