Hyatt and Disney World in Orlando

It's Saturday again so we get to go on a trip and show off our pinks. Pink Saturday is hosted by Beverly. Make sure you go to http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/ to see what she is sharing with us and see her participants' lovely pinks too.
My contribution is my set of crown plates. One of them is mostly pink and the green one has a pink crown. I got them from Ebay a while back. They are marked "1855, Email de Limoges, Italy" in the back.

Today is also Sightseeing Saturday so we get to take a trip. I am taking you to Orlando, FL.
When we lived in Florida, when we wanted to get away just for a weekend, we would check in at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Hotel. Here is the view from our window.

They have a really cool lobby, complete with greenery and exotic birds. See how happy my mom and AJ were? Great granddaughter guiding great grandma.......isn't that sweet?
These birds were just there in the lobby and they don't fly away.
We always enjoy their heated rocky pool and jacuzzi complete with slides, waterfalls and a rope bridge.

I just love this picture. The swans are so pretty and so relaxed. Aren't the pink flowers pretty? This is what I call tranquility and serenity.
John took AJ to Disney World. I did not go with them because I have been there so many times so I dragged my mom to shop at the Outlet mall instead.

Hope you enjoyed another short trip. Thank you so much for coming and thanks to Beverly for hosting Pink Saturday.

Hi, Christine!

I love the Grand Cypress. It's such a neat place. We used to go there and eat when it first opened, and those birds in the lobby always fascinated me. I can remember eating some of the best conch fritters I've had outside of Key West in one of their restaurants there.

Loved all the pictures of your family and the pictures of your crown plates! You are a girl after my own heart with your love for dishes!

Thanks for sharing...

Happy Pink Saturday!

XO,

Sheila :-)

I miss going to Florida and to Disney. The swan photo is lovely. I had to laugh when you said you went outlet shopping instead of going to the Magic Kingdom:)

Hi Christine, wanted to tell you thanks for following my new blog and all the sweet comments you have left. I am trying to get caught up since we came home. What great pictures of your trip. I have been to Disney World eight times. My dad took us the first year they opened and we stayed at the Contemporary Hotel where the monorail runs through it and my husband and I spent our honeymoon and 25th anniversary at the Polynesian. Good memories of those trips.

Love your vacation photos as always! AJ was little then...or rather, she has grown quite a bit since then!

And I love the crown plates! Both our daughters were University of Louisville Homecoming queens 2 years apart (first time at that university, that sisters were queens). I like to look for things with crowns to give them form time to time :o)

Blessings & Aloha!
(I can not say enough, how much I appreciate your comments, dear friend!) Have a wonderful weekend!

I worked for Mears Transportation in Orlando for 8 years and the Hyatt was a client. Visited it many times.

My son and I head off to Orlando on 2/20 for a week and can't wait to snap photos of the new Harry Potter Theme Park at Universal.

Loved the hotel lobby.....there's a hotel on Kauai that has birds in the lobby like that too.....and one entire side is open to the ocean! I'd think they'd want to make their great escape.
