Beachy, Fishy Seaside Tablescape

I had this tablescape set up before I left for Chicago. But nobody cooked while I was gone. My stepdaughter Heather and her hubby Ben came for a visit a few days after I left and they ate out every single day so this table was not touched at all.

This is how it looked when I left and this is how it looked when I came back.

I bought the tablecloth from Grand Cayman. I almost forgot I had it, lol. This is the first time I am using it. I love the shimmer! I used shell napkin rings and napkins with shell print, silver sequined placemats to mimic sand when the sun shines on it, turquoise goblets and clear wine glasses with silvery Greek key patterned rim, white salad plates with shells around the edges on white dinner plates.

I love these turquoise translucent glass plate chargers. I found them at TJ Maxx in Monroe for $2.99 each the week before I left for Chicago. This set alone made the 2.5 hr. drive, one way, worth it to shop there.

The bubble flatware were distributed by Avon and I got them from Ebay.

While in Illinois, my sister gave me some turquoise serving dishes, 2 fish, a big shell and a smaller one. They were free so that's thrifty, right? Thanks, sis, I love them!
I am glad they did not break because I packed them in the luggage.

I thought they would look perfectly nice with my the accessories on the table so I added them and took more pictures this morning. John wants me to leave the table as is because he wants to show it to his pingpong buddy who always asks to see my tablescapes. He is out of town for a few days so I guess we are not eating on this table for a while.

John bought this shell compote from Baton Rouge. I filled it with stone eggs and various shells. I bought the starfish from Orlando, FL. The 2 mermaid taper candle holders were from Marshall's in FL. about a year or 2 ago. I have 4 of them.

I bought a pair of this votive candle holders for $2 each, I think, from a local hardware store. I like how they are wrapped with rope and has shells hanging on them.

This tea set has a story. I won it on Ebay. It arrived without the teapot lid so naturally, I complained to the seller. He said he forgot to enclose it but added it later but it was nowhere to be found inside the box. I even took out the packing stuff one by one and laid them carefully on the table and sent him pictures, but the lid was not there. He had to believe me because I have a red star on Ebay with 1022 transactions and 100% positive feedback. The seller thought that maybe he inserted it in another box and that he would ask his other buyers if they might have seen it. Well, he could not find it so he refunded me my full payment. This tea set therefore, is another one I got for free. I took a lid from a sugar server and it kinda fits so it will do for now.

This is a gorgeous table setting. Well done!
Your E-bay story is sad, but your lid looks pretty good. The tea set is really beautiful, what an amazing blue color. What is the make of it? Does it have anything written on the bottom?
Thank you so much for sharing with us today.
