Briar Rose, Bavarian Tirschenreuth Teaset

Last week, my friend Debjani was supposed to come for tea. Unfortunately, she was unable to come and we could not reschedule because we were leaving the following day for Pensacola, so we never got to use this set. Nevertheless, I took pictures to share with you today.

I won the Tirschenreuth Bavarian tea set in Briar Rose pattern from Ebay and Goodwill was the seller. I got the tea and coffee pots, sugar and creamer set and a matching shallow bowl for a total of $64.62. ($35.77 for the set and $28.85 for shipping), which I think is a very good price for a vintage Bavarian set in excellent condition.

I won the dessert and cup set from an antique shop downtown after I dropped John's business card in their fishbowl. I got a complete set of 8. The napkins are also vintage, from an antique shop in Seattle when I went antiquiing with Vanna of Delusions of Grandeur a few months ago.

I bought the ceramic rose placecard holders from Richard of My Old Historic House.

The figures are Meissen, from an antique store downtown. The fairy lamp was $3 from Cecil's Vintage store in Roxie.

I bought the "Briar Rose" tea cup and saucer also from Ebay, but from another seller.

and here is my whole table.

Aren't these Meissen figures just precious? I love the details on them.

The lamp was also from Cecil's store. The 2 tired server is also from Ebay. I love the reticulated edge.

I used a crocheted table runner. I bought the hobnail hurricane lamp and fairly lamp with the intention of selling them at my booth but I could not part with them so I am keeping them. This happens a lot to me somehow, lol.

Thank you for stopping by!

WOW! Fabulous win & beautiful design. Love all your treasures. Do you live near Seattle? We were just out there last month?!

Back in our time, Xinex, we were not allowed to talk back or offer up an opinion nor tell the truth ... the adults never would believe you to begin with.
Chuckle. One time Mother asked 'why I didn't tell her ....' an issue. I replied 'you would never have believed me'. End of subject, but true.

Have a beautiful week ~
