Colorful Backyard, Fall, 2011

I took more pictures of the trees in the backyard today. The colors are getting more intense and I thought I should capture them before the leaves completely all fall off. The golden yellow ginkgo tree is so pretty against the Japanese red maple. Do you see the golden kumquats in the potted trees?

The skimmers cannot keep up in cleaning the leaves out of the pool. And I even help in emptying the baskets and scooping up the leaves.
I think this is my favorite photo.

The ginkgo leaves are almost all gone.
Great view from inside the home office.

Thanks for stopping by this fall y'all!

Gorgeous photos Christine. I was wondering how you did it with the pool. My boys want a pool in our yard, I said NO way all the leaves would be way too much work.

That's it Christine. I am definitely moving in. I'll be
at your front door soon with all my luggage and Ken's 17 year old long haired Dachshund, we don't eat a lot and I'm not afraid of snakes!...Your backyard is awesome, did trimming your trees helped them get healthier? Bet they get more light huh. You take good pictures too Christine. Just love it!

You really have a lot of fall color in your yard. I think the trees have been more beautiful this year than I have ever seen them.

Very pretty! We're lucky that we don't get a lot of leaves in our pool because of where the big trees are.
