Thanksgiving Table Setting, 2011

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I have so much to be thankful for. I am thankful for my family that is multiplying by leaps and bounds this year. I am thankful for our home and our friends and that includes all of you, my blog friends. One reason I enjoy blogging so much is because of you. I wish you all lots and lots of happiness and blessings.

I am leaving to spend Thanksgiving with the kids in Florida so I probably will not have too much time to blog or visit, but I will join some parties in advance. John will be home so I set up a Thanksgiving table for him to enjoy looking at since I know he won't be eating there. He likes to eat in front of the TV or he just eats for free in the hospital especially when I am not around to cook.

Below is my Copy Cat contribution for

Debbie's Copy Cat party on Dec. 5th at

My inspiration is a picture I copied from Southern Living 's Dec, 2011 issue, page 113, pictured on the top part of the mosaic below. My version is the one just below it. I used cuttings from my holly berry bushes instead of white berries, which I do not have. Sorry, it is so simple but I know I won't have time to look for another picture because I am very busy doing so many things. I just did not want to miss Debbie's party.

Well, let me show you the whole tablescape.

I won the set of 7 wild bird game plates from Ebay though I only used 4 here. I paid $16.21 for shipping but I think I got them for a very good price of $13.49 for all. Don't you agree?

They are 9.5 inches in diameter so they could be luncheon or dinner plates.

They have different birds on them.

For the centerpiece, I used holly berries that I placed in a hurricane crystal candle holder, a pilgrim and a turkey tealight candle holder.

The flatware have a hunting dog and deer on the handles.
I used duck ceramic napkin rings and duck knife rests.

Seagrass placemats

See the duck knife rest?

There he is. I won them on Ebay too, a set of 8 (all different designs) and they came all the way from France.

Green bubble champagne flutes and rustic red goblets.

I cut the holly berries from our yard.

How wonderful Thanksgiving you have when surrounded by loveones.

I lost words everytime I am at your home. Everything is so pretty or heavenly beautiful. Grabe na ang explanation ko? Living in Sweden nawa-wala talaga ang English?

Basta, everything on your table is to die for.

Happy Thanksgiving to you All.

Hugs so much from D´Box,
