Warm and Even Warmer Now

I like Fall colors because they are warm. So many people in Blogland started decorating for Fall and honestly, I was getting jealous so I decided to follow their footsteps. We called Mitch to come over and help me take down my bins containing my Fall decorations and he came on Friday.

This weekend, I decided to change the vignettes on the dining tables and introduce the coming season.

I started with spreading an April Cornell tablecloth with fall colors.

I bought these large chicken wire cloche from One Kings Lane on clearance. I thought for $29 for the pair, they were a good buy not even knowing what I would do with them at the time because they are really huge. For a while, they just sat in the garage. The bigger one is about 16 inches tall and about 13 inches in diameter.

The woven acorn was on clearance at Pottery Barn for $6.99. It's also big, around 12 inches long. It was so bulky that I did not know what to use it for when it arrived, so I just shoved it in the very top shelf of the laundry room cabinet. I took it down after I set the 2 cloches together. I knew it would be perfect to put in front of them.

And here is my new Fall vignette.

I love how the sun shines through the middle of the acorn.

After I was done on the formal dining table, I changed the vignette on the small kitchen nook table too.

I started with a matching April Cornell table runner.

I took a red maple faux tree from the bin and added that.

I got these set of 3 whimsical pumpkins from an antique shop downtown a year or 2 ago and I thought their expressions look so cute. I think they are made out of pottery clay, I cannot remember how much I bought them for but I remember them to be really cheap, maybe $3.50 and no more than $6.

Isn't that a cute face?

I am so glad I got these 2 done. I am not sure how much more I can do because my series of trips to Florida starts this month. I will however, try to do some posts in advance.

Thank you so much for stoppng by and I appreciate our hostesses for all their work in hosting these fun memes.

Both of your tablescapes are darling; the cages and natural gourds, and the red maple tree on the smaller table.

I must confess that I was starting to feel a little jealous that everyone was decorating for Autumn too as we are now heading into summer and I hate the hot weather! I will just have to admire your lovely Fall colours and decorations and pretend it's cool again!

Best wishes and happy weekend,
Natasha.

Ms. C. I just love April Cornell, and the store in St.Louis closed. I bought some fall dishes from her when the store was closing, you reminded me of them and I had better dig them out. Yes, fall is up on us. I guess we had all ready ourselves. Have a beautiful day. Richard from My Old Historic House.

Oh, I love fall! I'm just like you in that I keep looking at the fall colors all over blog land and getting jealous. I'm trying to hold on just a wee bit longer.

In the meantime, I am enjoying things like your tables. I like the whimsical one as much as the more formal one. I love those cloches and the way the sun plays on that table.

It looks beautiful! I love those wire cloches.
It is still beach weather here, and Fall lasts long enough, so I am waiting till the calendar says it is Fall! It's what comes after Fall that bothers me!

WHOA....this is breathtaking, Christinny..I am not a fan of cloches much but I am TOTALLY in love with your huge wire ones. I love those! And you have filled them just perfectly. You are so good at this kind of thing. I'm not...and this may be why I don't decorate very much.
I love your second table, too...especially that tall cloche. The pumpkins are adorable.
