Lladro Collection and Newly Found Second Time Around Treasures

It's Tuesday and I am going to be ambitious, for today I will join 2 fun events. I will start with Three or More Tuesday, which is hosted by Tam at http://gypsycorner.blogspot.com/, so be sure you visit her blog and check her list of other participants. Today, I would like to show you part of my Lladro collection. I am unable to show you all of them because some of them are still in our home in Florida. I am only able to take one at a time everytime I go there and hand carry it, because I do want the risk to break any. My Lladro Bells are already stored away in the attic. I hung them on the Christmas tree so I only take them out when I put up the Christmas decor.
My sister gave this to us last year. It's quite tall, 14 inches, and it is called "Yearning for Happiness". Please click to see the details. It is retired and I think it is really pretty.
My hubby gave me the one on the left last year for our anniversary. It is called "Surrounded By Love". The 2 children reminds him of my granddaughter AJ and grandson, Brendan. The wedding figurine is named "A Kiss to Remember".
Hubby bought the one on the left when we were in Grand Cayman. It's called "Pacific Jewel". He actually bought it for AJ but I am keeping it until she is old enough to take care of it. I got the one on the right , "Spring is Here" from Ebay.
Isn't the Pacific girl's face so sweet? My sister gave this to me a long time ago, maybe in the 80's and he is signed by one of the Lladro brothers. He is the "Angel with Clarinet".
"My Precious Bundle", the Chinese lady carrying a baby in her back was also given to me by my sister and she is also signed personally by the Lladro Brothers. And the same sister gave also gave me "Chit-chat", the girl on the phone. Isn't my sister nice? You ought to see her Lladro collection! Her house is definitely a Lladro showcase. The little bunny is a Nao and was given to me by my son after he came from his honeymoon. Isn't that sweet of him to remember me even while on his honeymoon? LOL!
"Curious Girl with Straw Hat", we bought from the ship during a cruise.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my collection. Thank you, Tam, for hosting this fun event!
Now, I'd like to show you 4 items that DH and I bought from an antique store downtown last Saturday. 2nd Time Around is hosted by Diane at http://diane1876.blogspot.com/. Be sure you visit her blog also to check out what she and the others are showing us today.

We bought a pair of figural Meissen vases, which are 15 inches tall each. This particular one is a female (circa 1880-1900). The seller said he just got them and that because of the bad economy,
a lot of people have been selling their personal antique items. So it is a good time to go antiquing now. Here is the male.
We also bought a pair of table chandeliers. I don't think they are antiques but they are definitely vintage.
It was very hard to take a good picture because the bulbs are too bright when on, even if they only have 15 watts.
I love that even the switch pulls are crystals.

I placed them on the buffet in the formal dining room.

Thank you so much for visiting. I hope you enjoyed what I showed you today. Thanks to Diane for hosting this event. It allows us to enjoy every one else's treasures. Now, I am off to visit all the other participants. Why don't you come and join me?

Your Lladro is just beautiful! I'm glad you're so careful with it. Between a friend and I we've seen some very sad earthquake and visiting-friends-children Lladro incidents that aren't pretty. It's too bad the economy is make people sell their treasures but I'm happy you are able to find some wonderful things. Love those lamps! And you're helping someone else's economy! Yay!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

How sweet that your dh bought it because it reminded him of your grandchildren. Those vases are absolutely inredible, and of course, I love those light fixtures. You are the best shopper! laurie
