A Tea and Chocolate Break in the Arbor

Tuesdays are always fun days to prepare for a post. On this day,
Be sure you visit them and you will really enjoy all the great posts that you will see.

I have been working hard in the garden so I decided to take a little break. I took my little Whittard of Evelyn teapot for 2, took a sugar and cream server from my Cameo Florals set, took my laptop and i phone and just sat, had tea and chocolate and relaxed in the arbor.
I just got the paper lanterns I ordered from World Market. KathySue gave me the heads up on these. Thanks, KathySue, I love them! If you want to get lots of good decorating tips, you ought to visit her at http://goodlifeofdesign.blogspot.com/
For some time, I looked for an elongated narrow table to fit in b/w the arbor seats and I finally found this last year at Brylane Home. It was on clearance for $35 and I think the size is perfect. I thought about painting it black but I just left it as is.

I was playing WORDS remotely on my i phone with a friend. That Dove chocolate bar is so good and creamy. Yum! Do you like to eat chocolate with tea? I do! I like chocolates with coffee too.

I placed the teapot and servers in the cart that I bought from TJ Maxx. I thought it looked garden like.
Break's over! I put the teapot and accessories away and this is how the table is accessorized now.
A view from the other side of the gazebo. Ooops, I forgot to close one of the garage doors. Oh well, I know I was not done working in the garden yet. I was just taking a break.

I like the cart. TJ Maxx had 2 shapes, one rectangular and a square one. I debated but the rectangular one won. I thought I could use it on this table cause it would fit better. I like the scrolly pattern. I added 2 citronella candles to keep the bugs away.
The lanterns are battery operated but it was still too bright outside and you can't even see them lit so I just turned them off.
See the blue dragonfly peeking out from the cart?
I bought the birds from the dollar store.

See the buds coming out of the climbing jazmine? It's going to have lots of sweet smelling blooms soon and I can't wait.

Thaks for joining me for a little break and thanks to our gracious hostessess for another fun blogging day!

Christine, what an awesome spot to chill with a cup of tea, my favorite chocolate and your lap top. I have got to get a lap top soon so I can move around. I love the table you bought and what a great price. I love the lattice work on it. Love all your charming vignettes.

What an absolutely PERFECT place to enjoy a cup of tea, some chocolate & rest a bit, Christine! I adore both your rectangular table AND the little cart from TJMaxx. Wonderful purchases & I would have grabbed both if I'd seen them. I need something similar to the table for the front porch & will keep an eye out.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful world. :)

I love those lanterns--they make it a happy and special little area. Your birds and tea with chocolate sounds great. One of my favorite treats is chocolate with coffee, but I haven't tried it with tea for some reason....just feels like it should go with coffee in my brain for some reason!

Hello Christine!
Has been a while since I stopped by your blog! I am so glad I did! I love your beautiful garden setting for tea! You showed how even in this busy and "techno" age of ours, stopping for a cup of tea and yummy chocolate is a must! Loved all your pretty garden decor! Everything looked beautiful, green and lush! Have a great rest of the week! Hugs!

Christine, a serene place to spend some alone time, especially with dove chocolate! You commented about the polish pottery in my picture but the background ceramic canisters were Jim Shore. I have some of the plates too. I love the deep blue in them. Enjoy your yard this weekend. Joan
