The Heart of Our Home

I apologize for not finishing this but since I already uploaded pics this morning, I'll go ahead and post it.
We had to take my mom to the hospital. She fell from a truck and hit her head and bled but I think she'll be ok.
I would like to ask you all to pray for her please. They will admit her to neuro ICU for observation.
I am thanking you in advance for your prayers.

Today is the day Shelia of http://notesongs.blogspot.com/ is hosting the Heart of the Home party so be sure you check out everybody's else's lovely kitchen which you will find links on her blog.

Well, this is the place in our home that I spend a lot of time in, well, at least second to my home office where I create my blog entries and read your blogs, lol.

We usually enter the house through this door from the garage. If you go straight through the little hallway, you will get to a bathroom that exits directly on the pool deck.

The laundry room is an extension of our kitchen. I keep the microwave oven there and a small freezer. I had to bring the orchids in because it has been getting cold at night.

View from the laundry room. And yep, we have 2 dining tables in the kitchen, a rectangular one by the windows and a round one in front of the fireplace, which we use more often.

I was preparing dinner while taking pictures. Our menu was: Miso soup, rice (as usual), corn on a cob and broiled Japanese eel with eel sauce.

View coming from the family room.
