Minor Pool Bathroom Makeover

Even though there are only 2 of us who live here, we enjoy the convenience of having 5 bathrooms. I don't think I have ever shown this bathroom before, not even on RMS. It has a door leading out to the pool so it is very practical, especially when we have a pool party. It is also convenient when coming from a long trip and you need to go very badly, cause it is just across from the garage door entry to the house. John wanted to put a bench there for grandkids to stand on when they are getting dressed after a shower and you can see that it is very narrow. But I moved a bench that we had in the garage anyway, temporarily. The mosaic below is the "Before" pictures. I saw this silky shower curtain from TJ Maxx last weekend from the clearance bin for $3. I bought it with the intention of selling it at my store but when I opened it, I really liked the color so I used it instead and it served as an inspiration for my makeover process.

The bench that used to be here have already been replaced by this smaller one a month or 2 ago. I must have mentioned this bench on an earlier post but never really showed it. I bought it from one of the other vendors in the store for I think $22 and it is solid wood. I like the fact that it is very narrow so I think it's perfect there.

I added a pot with faux lavenders that I have had for years. Nothing in this room really is new except for the shower curtain. I mostly just shopped around the house so this makeover only cost me $3.

That big glass jar in the corner was moved from the top of the fridge.
I added some twigs to the jar that I picked up from the garden.

The toilet is behind the shower wall. The long oil painting is one I made of St. John's Basilica located in Izmir, Turkey. I took the picture when we went there and just copied it from the picture.

Someday, I will upgrade this bathroom. I want to replace the flooring (some tiles are cracked), sink , cabinet, mirror and lighting. I am just waiting for my son in law to come and help me.

The white door leads out to the pool deck and the brown door leads to a hall that goes to the kitchen and garage.

I moved this oil painting with lilacs from our guest room that I designate for my mom to use when she is with us. I painted it when I was still in Florida. I thought it goes well with the shower curtain.

I moved the bunny from the foyer and placed him on top of the wicker basket that holds extra towels.

You can see the lilac painting reflecting on the mirror.
Just some minor changes really freshened the look of the bathroom and I like it. I hope you like it too. Thanks for coming by.

You did a wonderful job with the bathroom, Christine. The bench is very cute and functional. I remember having one very similar to it. I love the colors in the shower curtain, too. You did a great job!
