Eternal Beau and Cherubs

I wanted to use my octagonal Johnson Brothers "Eternal Beau" dishes before I put them away and store them in the garage. So I created a tablescape using them.

I brought a gold box with a cherub on the lid from the family room. I use it to store dvd's from Netflix. I created my whole centerpiece around it.

I love this pierced and embroidered table cloth. I bought it from Grand Cayman. I have a favorite linen store there and I never fail to buy something everytime I visit.

I wonder if they call this pattern "Eternal Beau" because of the bows on the plates.

Nippon salt cellars and sterling mini spoons.

Golf cherub napkin rings.

Lady Katherine gave me these 2 cherub tea light candle holders during our Magnolia Southern Belle get together here. Thanks, Katherine! I love them. They came with a matching ceramic basket.

I cut some flowers from the garden and tucked them in a crystal vase.

I bought the napkins while antiquing with Vanna in Seattle.

My flatware handles are pierced too, and so are the vintage napkins.

I knew I recognized those napkins! *winks* How could I not love a tablescape centered around cherubs?.....I couldn't! Lol! Love it Christine! And I think the "beau" is a double entendre both for the bows at the top and for beau which means beautiful in french. And they certainly are. *winks* Vanna

I just love all the cherubs. That detail just *makes* the table to me. It's all beautiful though. I think that pattern is beautiful, and I really love that flatware.

My favorite thing of all on the table? It was those salt cellars.

You always have some elegant tablescape to share! Gotta love the centerpiece! :) These are so beautiful, why store them in the garage? They should be used more often instead! Or is it because you have some new plates coming? Can't wait to see them all.

What a terrific job you've done this week, both with the table and photoing. Every detail is just right. Curiosity makes me ask why your beautiful dishes are going to the garage.

The adorable cherubs make your setting look so whimsical to me. I love the color of the teal goblets! Your tablecloth has such pretty embroidery in addition to the cut work. However, the pierced flatware is my favorite. I really like those! What a delightful setting!

I'm in love with that tablecloth! It is gorgeous! I think plates that aren't perfectly round are always more interesting and these certainly set a pretty table. That is a very fancy way to store your Netflix!!

Hi, Christine!!! Man...I've been SO slow this week getting around to all the blogs. I've been taking my time and reading every single one through and through...it takes awhile!!! :-) I LOVE this dish pattern and shape! It's not every day that we see octagonal dishes, and these are really fantastic. I like the gentle pattern on it and the beading around the edges. I like your flatware, too. I don't often see pierced flatware, so it makes it extra special. Your table is absolutely angelic! I hope you are surviving the heat without much trouble. Have a good weekend!
